In "New Adult" fiction the characters are new adults, faced with adult challenges and responsibilities and trying to discover how they fit into the adult world. New Adult fiction also has emotionally tense story lines and fast-paced, dramatic plotting. Many titles appeal to both the young-adult and adult audience.
